The studio approach

We find the story before anyone asks.

Van Rose is a Dublin-based creative studio led by Mike Van Rose. We make films, content and strategy for brands and organisations that have something real to say. Most of the time, that story already exists. Our job is to find it, shape it and make sure it is impossible to look away from.

What we do

Message

Strategy is how we protect the creative from going in the wrong direction. We find the narrative worth building on before the camera moves. Positioning, brand voice and story structure that give everything else a foundation.

Film

Documentary-led thinking applied to brand work. Campaign films, brand films, event films and series. Made to earn attention because something true is in them.

Content

Photography, social assets and everything that carries the story forward once the main work is done. Made to do real work in the world, not just look good in a deck.

How we work

Four steps.

Diagnose

We listen before we plan. The real challenge is usually hiding one level below the stated one. We find it before anything else moves.

Define

Once we understand the actual problem, we set the direction. The right message, the right format, the right measure of success. Everything after this earns its place or gets cut.

Create

We make the work. Every frame, every word and every cut earns its place in the story. We do not decorate. We build.

Deploy

We make sure it lands. Strategy sitting on a hard drive helps nobody.
